All 27 EU member states, one service
Wherever in the EU your vehicle is registered now, it is the same service and the same fee. It does not have to move, and neither do you.
-
Every member state
All 27 of them, listed below. The form validates the country you pick against that list, so anything on it is a country we take.
-
The same fee
£399 for the registration work, plus DVLA and HMRC charges. Neither the country your vehicle is in nor its age changes our charge.

Wherever it is standing
Still overseas, on a boat, or already landed in the UK — the form asks which, and it makes no difference to whether we can register it.
Where is your vehicle registered now?
Every one of the 27 has its own page — what registering a vehicle from there involves, and a form that starts with the country already chosen.
What does change from one country to the next
Not the service, and not the fee. The paperwork — and it depends on your vehicle as much as on where it is registered.
A vehicle registered in Germany and one registered in Portugal arrive with different documents, in different formats, in different languages. What the DVLA wants to see in support of the application changes with them, and it changes again with the vehicle itself — its age, whether it needs a Certificate of Conformity, and how it was brought into the country.
That is precisely why this site does not publish a per-country checklist. A list that is right for most imports from one member state and wrong for yours is worse than no list at all, because you would have gathered the wrong things before finding out. What we do instead: confirm your vehicle is eligible, then write to you with the documents your import actually needs — before anything is payable, and with nothing to gather in order to ask.
Importing from outside the EU — Japan, the United States, the Gulf and the rest — is something My Car Import handles every day, just not through this registration form. Ring 01332 810442 and we will take it from there.
Found your country on the list?
Tell us about the vehicle and where it is registered. Three short steps, about a minute, and nothing to gather first.
