Certificate of Conformity: what it is, and what it costs
A vehicle newer than 2016 needs one to be registered in the UK. We obtain it for you and bill it on at what it costs — it is not part of our £399 fee.
When your import needs one
Age decides it, and only age. It makes no difference to whether we can register the vehicle, or to what we charge.
A Certificate of Conformity is the manufacturer’s own statement that a particular vehicle was built to a European type approval. The DVLA uses it as evidence that the vehicle meets the standards it has to meet.
A vehicle 2016 or earlier is 10 years old or more. It is past type approval and exempt from IVA, so it registers on paperwork alone and needs no certificate at all. A vehicle newer than 2016 does need one, and it is bought from the manufacturer or their appointed agent — there is no other source.

What these figures are, and what they are not
They are the manufacturer’s prices, not ours, recorded as of September 2026. We do not set them and we do not mark them up. A manufacturer can move a price without telling anybody, so we confirm what yours will actually cost in writing.
Where a make shows a number of working days, that is the manufacturer’s own quoted turnaround for issuing the certificate. It is not a timescale for your registration — once an application is with the DVLA the pace is theirs, and we do not publish a figure for it.
If your make is not in the table, that means nobody has priced it here yet — not that it cannot be done, and certainly not that it is free. Ring 01332 810442 and we will find out for you before you commit to anything.
