One fee for the work, and nothing hidden behind it
Our charge is £399, flat, whatever the vehicle. Our fee covers the registration work. The DVLA first registration fee, road tax and a Certificate of Conformity where one is needed are separate, and depend on your vehicle.
One figure, every vehicle
Age does not change it. Nor does the country it is coming from, or whether it has reached the UK yet.
£399
fixed, for the registration work — plus DVLA and HMRC charges
What that covers
- Checking your vehicle qualifies
- Preparing the DVLA application
- Assembling and checking the supporting documents
- Dealing with the DVLA on your behalf until the registration is issued
- Keeping you posted throughout
No hourly rates, and nothing billed by the document. A vehicle 2016 or earlier is 10 years old and registers on paperwork alone; a newer one also needs a Certificate of Conformity, which we obtain and bill on to you at what it costs. Either way our fee is the same. If you would rather hear that from a person, ring 01332 810442.
What the fee covers, and what lands on top
Registering an imported vehicle has unavoidable statutory costs. They are not ours, we do not mark them up, and we will not guess at them here.
Our £399 covers
One fee, the same for every vehicle.
- Checking your vehicle qualifies
- Preparing the DVLA application
- Assembling and checking the supporting documents
- Dealing with the DVLA on your behalf until the registration is issued
- Keeping you posted throughout
No hourly rates and nothing billed by the document. Where your vehicle needs a Certificate of Conformity we obtain it for you and bill it on at what it costs — it is extra, and it is not part of the £399.
On top of that, you’ll owe
Set by the DVLA, HMRC or a supplier — not by us.
- The DVLA’s first registration fee
- Road tax for the vehicle
- Number plates
- A Certificate of Conformity, if yours needs one
- A GB conversion IVA, on a newer vehicle coming from a left-hand-drive country
- Anything payable to HMRC on the import
- Shipping, transport or storage, and any mechanical work
What these come to depends on your vehicle, and on how it was imported. We set out exactly what you will owe, and to whom — we would rather do that properly than publish a figure here that turns out to be wrong for your import.
