What it means
DVLA’s application form for registering a used vehicle, including a used import, for the first time through that application route.
It belongs with the evidence required for the particular vehicle; filling in the form alone does not complete the import process. Use DVLA’s current V355/5 guidance notes to understand the fields and check the source of technical information before copying it across.
New vehicles use the separate V55/4 form. Tell your adviser about any previous UK registration and check the reimport requirements. Do not choose a form solely from the vehicle’s appearance or mileage, and do not guess values where the supporting record is unclear.
